Description of Activities

To identify, define and update employment-based standards of competence for the financial planning occupations in Nigeria.

To define what the financial planner’s job entails and support the development of National Occupation Standards (NOS) in the financial planning profession for approval by the National Board for Technical Education.

The Council is to be an employer-led organisation that actively involves trade unions, professional bodies and other key stakeholders.

Certified Institute

FPSI is a registered body certified by the National Board for Tertiary Education (NBTE).

Functions of FPSI

A Financial Planning Skills Council is a Board of Standards in the Institute. The council serves as an authoritative body responsible for overseeing and promoting the development of financial planning skills within the industry.
